Magma (real name Evan Dorward) knows almost nothing of his early childhood. In series two there will be a huge reveal that he is actually the lost baby of British holiday-makers who accidentally left him behind after a camping expedition in a Brazilian national park. A huge hunt to find him was finally abandoned after only his clothes and paw prints were found. But actually Evan wasn't dead - he had been adopted by a group of jaguars who taught him how to sniff, hunt, and pee up trees. ‘Magma’ was his first word, but it’s utterly meaningless. He thought he was asking for porridge.

Brave, athletic, open, charming, innocent, determined, idealistic, Magma never knew his parents and instead learned to effortlessly converse with animals via strange guttural grunts.

But greedy corporations arrived (The Amazonian Petrol Corporation) and soon it became clear they wanted to fell his part of the rainforest for their own financial gain…

At first he managed to thwart their plans but finally they caught up with him, and he was only able to escape by leaping from a plane at 10,000 feet.

Despite having no parachute, and against all odds - Magma survives. He lands on a bouncy castle somewhere in Belfast. That Magma should end up in Belfast is quite fitting - the city’s motto is “What shall we give back in return for so much.” He is rescued from the over-zealous authorities by Charley-Marie and DJ O’Donal, two streetwise kids who take him into their safekeeping and welcome him into a modern, inclusive urban tribe.

Magma feels safe at last. But just how safe will he be with an Amazonian blow-pipe assassin stalking him and zero knowledge of how to cross a road safely?
